Workplace charging involves installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at a place of employment, allowing employees to charge their vehicles during the workday at little or no cost. Providing workplace charging demonstrates an organization’s commitment to reducing emissions, supporting employees, and leading the adoption of alternative fuel technologies.

For the past three years, Clean Cities Georgia has participated in the EMPOWER Workplace Charging initiative, which encourages greater availability of EV charging in workplace settings. Research shows that offering workplace charging can support increased EV adoption, provide a valuable employee amenity, and help organizations advance their sustainability goals.
